Editorial Comments – Vol X | Issue 01

IMA Kerala Medical Journal is gathering strength with more stalwarts in the medical fraternity contributing articles to this prestigious journal of IMA Kerala State Branch. In addition it is a matter of great satisfaction that we have finally got our young brigade of medical researchers on board our journal. IMA KMJ is committed to introduce and encourage our medical students into structured medical research. Once they understand the methods of clinical research, its nuances and how it helps clinical practice, they will remain steadfast in the path of scientific evidence based medicine. This is the best defence against the challenge modern medicine is facing from quackery and unscientific medicine. The results of these studies once featured in our journal are sure to help our members update their clinical knowledge and prepare them for the ever increasing challenges of daily practice. This issue features an editorial on the need for encouraging clinical research among medical students. Further two excellent original research articles performed by medical students are featured.
